Understanding ADHD

When Focus Feels Out of Reach

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affects attention, impulse control and activity level. It often continues into adulthood and can affect school, work and relationships.

Common signs we help with include:

  • Trouble staying focused or easily getting distracted
  • Forgetfulness, missed deadlines and losing things
  • Difficulty organizing tasks or managing time
  • Restlessness or feeling “driven by a motor”
  • Acting or speaking impulsively

ADHD symptoms can overlap with anxiety, depression and sleep problems, so a careful evaluation matters.

How We Help

A comprehensive evaluation, a clear diagnosis, and a treatment plan that may include medication management, education and practical strategies, with regular follow-up.

ADHD Care That Fits Your Life

We take time to understand how symptoms affect your daily life, then build a plan together and adjust it as you make progress.

We start by listening: your symptoms, history, goals and what has or has not worked before.

A Clear Diagnosis & Plan

You receive an explanation of what is going on and a personalized plan you help shape.

Medication Management, If Appropriate

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about ADHD evaluation & treatment.

Can adults be evaluated for ADHD?

Yes. Many people are first diagnosed as adults. We evaluate adolescents and adults and consider other conditions that can look like ADHD.

Will I be prescribed medication?

Treatment is based on your evaluation and preferences. If medication is appropriate, we discuss options, benefits and risks with you and follow safe prescribing and monitoring practices.

Do you offer telehealth appointments?

Yes. Many visits can be done through secure video for patients located in New Hampshire at the time of the appointment. Some situations may require an in-person visit, and we will let you know if so.

Do you treat adolescents?

Yes. We provide psychiatric care for adolescents and adults. For patients under 18, a parent or guardian is involved in scheduling and consent.
